Much the same here.

I will have everything I can fit in the boot with me. No preference as to what I play. Hope to get multiple games into the evening if possible.

Yep, i'll be there. Hoping to try a bit of Alkemy and also up for some 40k again.

I've also skimmed through Horrizon Wars rules and statted up some units. So if anyone fancies some titan on titan action give me a shout. Would suit a multi-player bash if people wanted that. I'm gussing its an hour or so game for 3 titans vs 3. Bit more for some infantry and tanks.

Otherwise - Give me a shout if you want to give the Epic knights a bash Richard.

I'll be along with Alkemy and Infinity, all being well.

What scale's Horizon Wars in? I'd be interested in trying it out!

Richard Deane

It sounds like you've got plenty to do this week so shall we pencil in a game for next Tuesday (18th)?

Do you want to be the one using the knights or facing them?

@ResaF - Horizon Wars is nominally 6/10mm, though it is so abstract that I have seen people use it at 15mm and even 28mm. It has no specific line of miniatures - use what you like. The original system was MechaWar, designed to play Battletech-style mass mech games in about 1/10 the time of BT. Very stripped down and quick to learn, it relies on a clever activation/reaction activation mechanic requiring co-ordination of units, and concentrates on narrative type scenarios rather than being about the unit abilities themselves. I think you could describe it as mico-armour scale Tomorrow's War. I'm not entirely convinced that the Infantry/Armour/aircraft bolt-ons work quite as well, but i have never played it past a couple of demos, so it might all hang together nicely.

Personally i think it would make for some great multi-player games with 6-8 titans a side, similar to AT but much quicker and easier to learn.

I will bring a couple of sets of minis already statted on Tues and anyone who wants can join in.

@ Richard. Yep that sounds good. You are welcome to give the knights a run out. If you can give me a list on Tues i can make sure i assemble suitable proxies ready for the following week.

I'd been thinking something like :

Incompertus, 3000 POINTS
Knight World (EpicUK 290515)
==================================================
BARON RETINUE [600] 1 Baron, 5 Paladins
KNIGHT HOUSEHOLD [500] 6 Paladins

LANCER HOUSEHOLD [300] 3 Lancers
LANCER HOUSEHOLD [300] 3 Lancers
ERRANT HOUSEHOLD [350] 3 Knight Errant
SUPPORT HOUSEHOLD [350] 3 Knight Crusader

AA GUN BATTERY [150] 3 Heavy AA Guns, 3 tractors
LIGHT TANK PLATOON [175] 6 Siegfried light tanks
MILITIA [125] 6 Militia units

THUNDERBOLT SQUADRON [150] 2 Thunderbolt Fighters

Edit : Realized I missed out the crusaders. Changed above.

Richard Deane

@Blip, I'd been thinking along the lines of the following.

Baron retinue [600] 1 Baron 5 Paladins
Knight household [500] 6 Paladins (seneschal)

Support household with additional castellan & seneschal [475] 4x castellans
Support household with additional crusader [450] 4x crusaders
Errant household [350]

AA gun battery [150] 3 Heavy AA guns, 3 tractors
Field guns [150] 4x light artillery units, 4x tractors

Thunderbolt squadron [150] 2x thunderbolt fighters
Thunderbolt squadron [150] 2x thunderbolt fighters

Yep, That sounds good. Think I can cover all that, but might be worth bringing your marines along in case we need to differentiate any characters etc.

Paul

Will be there but might be a little late.
Would like another go at 40k, (possibly with my Guard!), but will bring the usual Infinity as well anyway as backup.

In additional to the above, my copy of Widowers Wood has arrived, so if anyone is interested in that there is a one-shot adventure we can try (3-4 players)

Looks like another late one tonight so won't be in unfortunately. I may game again one day!
